Ms. Krystle Cherrise Stephens

December 12, 1990 - March 26, 2024

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints” (Psalms 116:15)

Krystle Cherrise Stephens departed this life on March 26, 2024, unexpectedly at SOVAH Health Medical Center.

Krystle was born December 12, 1990, in Danville, Virginia to the late Linda Lee Robertson and the late Charlie Stephens, Jr. who preceded her in death. She was baptized at an early age at the Shockoe Missionary Baptist Church.

Krystle was educated in the Pittsylvania County School System and was a graduate of Dan River High School. She went on to graduate from Danville Community College with an associate degree in medical assisting. Krystle worked as a CNA with Davita Dan River Dialysis Center. She was highly regarded by her managers and co-workers alike. Krystle would often speak of how she loved her job, especially the friends that she had come to know and love.  She was studying to become a Registered Nurse.

Krystle can be described as a funny, kind-hearted, mild-mannered person with a gentle spirit. There was one obvious physical trait that stood out for her: She had an infectious smile (more like a grin) that could light up a room. If you knew Krystle, then you would know that smile, and to know her was to love her.

Among her many attributes, she would tell you that her greatest accomplishment in her life was being the mother of two BEAUTIFUL and AMAZING children. Her Girls: ‘Fats’ (Ariya) and ‘Boodie’ (Ai’Yana) as she affectionately called them. Krystle absolutely adored them, and there was nothing like their ‘MOMMIE’ to them.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her beautiful babies, Ariya and Ai’Yana: two devoted sisters, Terrie’ Moore (Marvin) and LaKisha Stephens both of Danville, Virginia; five aunts, Emma Mae Fitzgerald, Sally Holloway (Samuel), Florence Stephens, Elma “Bunny” Beatrice Stephens all of Danville, Virginia and  Lena Robertson of Mt. Vernon, New York; four uncles, Willie Mays and Charles Fitzgerald both of Danville, Virginia, Willie Robertson of Great Neck, New York and Elmer Logan of Blairs, Virginia; a God-son, Jayceon Nasir Simmons; God-father, Darrell Logan (Erica); and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

“For I am now ready to be offered and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (II Timothy 4:6-7)
