Obituary
Trudy Colleen Fristoe, 69, was called home to live with God on December 9th, 2024.
She was born in Lexington Virginia and grew up in Dinwiddie Virginia.
Trudy was a very caring and giving woman who always put others needs before her own. She cherished her step sons, her step daughter-in law, her step grandchildren, her nieces, nephews, and her animals. Trudy leaves a huge void in the hearts of her loved ones that is filled with their memories of her and loved to cook and help out in any way she could. Trudy was very energetic and constantly doing something and loved watching old TV shows, Elvis Presley, and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, and collecting spoons. Trudy loved unicorns and the color purple as well as ruby red.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her father, Douglas Fristoe and her mother, Isabelle Fristoe, her brother-in-law, Thomas Brooks, and her life partner Robert Edward Cabaniss Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a beloved sister, Kimberly Brooks, her nephew, Douglas Brooks, her nieces, Dana Brooks and Leslie Brooks, her great nieces, her step son, Robert Edward Cabaniss III, her step son, John Richard Cabaniss, her step daughter-in-law, Angela Cabaniss, her step-grandchildren, John Robert Cabaniss and Anna Marie Cabaniss, her step son, Kelvin Wayne Reiners, her step-granddaughter, Destiny Reiners, as well as a host of friends.
Trudy has earned her wings and is watching over us all. May she rest in peace.
Celebration of life service for Ms. Trudy Fristoe will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 2:00 pm, at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment- Petersburg Virginia. Bishop Jeffrey L. Dodson, Sr., Officiating. The family is asking that relatives and friends assemble at the funeral home on day of service at 1:45 pm.
