Ikeyia M. Jones, “Kia”, of 4334 Spring Branch Rd. Waverly, Virginia died suddenly on Sunday, February 10, 2013 in Petersburg, Virginia.
Kia was educated in the Sussex County Public School System. She was a member of Zion Hill Holiness Church Waverly, Virginia.
Kia was preceded in death by her great grandmothers, Geraldine Wooden, Ruth Prosise, and Essie Branch.
Left to cherish memories of Kia are her mother, Dawn Monique Jones of Hopewell, Va.; father, Ricky Prosise of Dinwiddie, Va.; stepfather, Matthew White; two brothers, Kevin Lacks Jr. and Mekki White and one sister, Khaniya White, all of Hopewell, Va.; aunts, Queen I. Jones-Harris, Vanessa Tyree, and Patricia Tucker; uncles, Vernard Jones, Jr., Clinton E. Jones, Donald Prosise, and Gerald Prosise; grandparents, Mr. Vernard L. and Queen E. Funeral celebration for Ms. Ikeyia M. Jones, “Kia”, will be held on Saturday, February, 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM., at Zion Apostolic Temple, 1601 Youngs Road Petersburg, Va., Bishop Samuel Wright, Sr., Pastor. Rev. Suzie Wright, Officiating and Elder Willie T. Williams, Pastor of Zion Hill Holiness Church, Waverly, Va., Eulogizing. Interment in the Zion Hill Holiness Church Cemetery, Waverly, Va. Remains will lie in state at 12 noon at Zion Apostolic Temple until the hour of service. In addition, there will be a viewing on Saturday before the Interment services at Zion Hill Holiness Church, 4424 Spring Branch Rd., Waverly, Va. 23890.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 6PM to 8PM and on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 9AM to 8PM at the J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment 25824 Greensville Ave. Petersburg. Va. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the residence of Dawn Jones (mother), 3901 London Rd., Hopewell, Va. and is also asking that relatives and friends assemble at the residence on the day of service at 12:45 PM.
