Ms. Regina E. Goodrich, “Gina”, of 351 Beech St. Petersburg, Virginia entered into eternal rest suddenly on Monday, February 9, 2015 as a result of an automobile accident.
She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Goodrich, Sr., of Petersburg, Virginia and Barbara A. Wyche James of Newport News, Virginia.
Gina was educated in the Petersburg Public School System and was employed as a Manager at McDonald’s in Chester, Virginia. She was a member of Third Baptist Church, Petersburg, Virginia.
Regina was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Goodrich, Sr., and one uncle, Earl Goodrich, Sr.
Regina will be missed and remembered by four sons, Tyq’uan Smith, Daquan Smith, and Marquelle Godette, all of Petersburg, Va., and Robert McClure Jr., of Richmond, Va.; two daughters, Teshawne Rives of Petersburg, Va. and Tequilla Bailey of Richmond, Va.; a loving granddaughter, Ty’Layah Smith of Petersburg, Va.; her parents, Barbara A. Wyche James and Ennis C. James, Sr. of Newport, News Va.; Fiancé, Robert McClure, Sr., of Petersburg, Va.; four brothers, Kenneth Goodrich, Jr. of Suffolk, Va., Casell Peterson, Dennis Peterson, and Ennis James, Jr., all of Petersburg, VA.; two sisters, Lynette Wyche and Lashawn Wyche both of Petersburg, Va.; aunts, Sharon Goodrich, Vanessa Berry Walker(Howard), Pearl James, and Arietha Phillips, all of Petersburg, Va., Carolina James (Mike Kates) of Prince George, Va., and Loretta James of Virginia Beach, Va.; uncles, Jamie Vaughan and Horace Walker both of Petersburg, Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including one devoted great nephew, Michael Nicaris.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Third Baptist Church, 550 Farmer St. Petersburg, Va., with the Rev. Leroy Cherry, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia. Remains will lie in repose one hour prior to service at the church.
The family is receiving relatives and friend at the residence, 351 Beech St. Petersburg, Virginia and asking that relatives and friends assemble there at 11:45a.m.on the day of the service.
A public viewing will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 6p.m. to 8p.m. and on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 9a.m. to 8p.m., at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment.
