Carmen Wray Tally, 55, of Chesterfield, VA spread her wings and flew home on Sunday, November 15, 2015.
She is preceded in death and now joins her parents Andrew E. Wray and Alice T. Wray.
She is survived by her son Richard Andrew Tally with significant other Rachel Aubrey Driver. She also leaves behind sister Cheryl W. O’Berry with husband Patrick and sister Christy W. Suyes with significant other Tommy Lauter, along with her nephews, neices, and their familes: Andrew Joshua (AJ) O’Berry and significant other Whitney Austin, William and Sydney O’Berry with children Jacob and Nathan, Rebecca and Peter Burkart, and Heather and Bradley Price with their children Danielle and Curtis.
Carmen believed that doing for others and being of use was of the utmost importance. She would always say “I just want to be useful.” She was a great hair dresser for many years, she loved to sew and cook, and she would always use her skills to teach others what she considered lost arts. Most of all she loved her family and she loved the Lord. In remembrance of his mother Drew, would like to share Proverbs 3:18-“She is a tree of life to those who embrace her; happy are those who hold her fast.”
A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Friday, November 20, 2015 at Woods United Methodist Church located at 7200 Hickory Road, South Chesterfield, VA 23803. Lunch will be served immediately following the service. The family requests the congregation wear vivid colors in celebration of her life.
