Mr. Saul Alston departed this life Friday, July 15, 2016 in Southside Regional Medical Center Petersburg, Va.
He was born in Petersburg Virginia to the late Lenora and John Alston. Saul received his education in the Petersburg Public School System, Saul worked many years and retired from America Tobacco Company. At an early age he accepted Christ and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Halifax Street Petersburg, Virginia.
Saul was an usher of the church and participated in a lot of the men’s organizations in the church, and also participated in special projects. He was a cheerful man and was often called the “Pastors Pet” He enjoyed watching television, especially sports.
He leaves to cherish in his memory a devoted niece, Telesia Godsey and devoted cousin, Gloria Jackson, the staff at Golden Living Petersburg, Virginia., and his Church Family at Westminster Presbyterian.
Service of remembrance for Mr. Saul Alston will be held 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the Chapel of J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment . Rev. Ulysses Payne, Pastor, Officiating. The family is asking that relatives and friends assemble at 5:45 p.m. day of service at the funeral home.
