On Saturday, August 11, 2018, Jeanette received her heavenly wings.

Jeanette was born on August 22, 1975 in Washington. D.C. She attended Hopewell High School. Jeanette was baptized at Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Petersburg, Virginia. She was employed at Central State Hospital with over ten years of service.

Jeanette leaves to cherish her memories, her parents, Corriene Brown of Hopewell, Va. and Maurice Washington of Washington, D.C.; her loving, devoted, best friend husband, Andre Parnell, Sr., children, Marcello Walker, Jr., LaShaye Walker, Derrica Jones, Derrick Jones, Jr., DeAndre Bonner, Andrea Lewis, and Andre Parnell, Jr.; five grandchildren, one brother, James Washington, Sr. (Torand); three sisters, Pauline Washington, Janet Gregory (Adolphe), and Dominique Washington, mother- in-law, Glenda Reeves, sisters-in-law, Wendy Taylor Johnson, Pamela Macklin (Greg), Teknika Reeves, Tabitha Myrick (Leon), Deseree BerryHill, and Kim Taylor; brother-in-law, James Taylor; a devoted niece, Kyesha Neal, nine nephews, twenty-five aunts and uncles; great friends she met while working at Central State and enjoyed spending time with, Gloria Jean Crocker and Mrs. Mason, three special friends, Sylvia Myler, Nita Wimbush and Kim Taylor; and a host of other family members and friends.

Viewing for Jeanette Parnell will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 1:00pm to 8:00pm at the J. L Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment.

Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 4:00pm at the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church of God In Christ, 233 Halifax Street, Petersburg, Va. 23803. Interment will follow in the Dinwiddie Memorial Park, Dinwiddie, Virginia. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 25602 Front Road, North Dinwiddie, Virginia at 3:00pm on the day of the service.
