Obituary
Albert Junior Tyree entered into eternal rest on Monday January 16, 2023 in Petersburg, Virginia.
He was born on June 25, 1948 to the late John Henry Tyree and Jessie Virginia Lester in Beckley, West Virginia. He grew up with many siblings, Johnny, Leroy, Dixie, James, Raymond, and Cora.
Albert will be greatly missed. He was a man who loved everyone he came across. If you needed help you always knew he would do his absolute best to help you.
He was married to Mary Lou (Lilly) Tyree on August 7, 1969 and they spent 49 loving years together until Mary's passing exactly three weeks before their 50th Anniversary. He was a loving father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed.
Albert leaves to cherish his memories, four children, Gregory Tyree (Stephanie), Thomas Tyree, the late Connie Parrick (Darren) and Andrew Tyree (Hannah Thornton); ten grand-children, Myranda Tyree-Hanhart, Jessica Parrick (Xavier Claiborne) , Joshua Parrick (Jaid Lyon), Jonathan Parrick, Julia Parrick (Patrick Parker), Samantha Thomas (Tyler) , Zoe Tyree, Aimee Tyree, Madeline Tyree and Joshua Thornton (Grace Taylor); five great grandchildren, Lilly Lynn Parrick , Jack Michael Parrick, Robert “Bobby” Parker, Elijah Asberry, Sarai Asberry and another great granddaugther, Violet to be born in March; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of life service for Mr. albert Junior Tyree will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment 25824 Greensville Avenue Petersburg, Virginia 23803. Rev. Dr. Herbert W. Anderson, Officiating, Eulogist. Interment to following in the Blandford Cemetery 319 South Crater Road, Petersburg Virginia.
Public Viewing will be on Monday, January 23, 2023 from 5p.m. to 8p.m. at J. L. Dodson and Son Funeral Establishment 25824 Greensville Avenue Petersburg, Virginia.
The family is asking relative and friends to assemble at the funeral home at 12:45 p.m. on the day of service.
