Claude Edward Carter, 66 of 866 Valley Street Danville, VA departed this life on Thursday, July 18, 2024 in Danville, VA
He was born January 11, 1958 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia to the late Sam Carter and Betty Jean Wilson Carter.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a daughter, Kniosha Carter and Fiancé Willie Montague, Jr., both of Newport News, VA; a step daughter, Takita Carter of Danville, VA ; Life Partner Gwendolyn Brandon of Danville, VA; one brother, Sammy Carter and one sister, Sylvia Payne, both of Axton, VA; a sister-in-law, Apostle Pamela “Nikki” Pinchbach ,of Danville, VA; four grandchildren, LaMiracle Carter of Danville, VA; Shanieya Wimbush, Knaisha Wood and Nevaeh Coles all of Newport News, VA; a niece, Korica Payne, one great nephew, Koryan Payne both of Axton, VA; three Aunts, Dorothy Carter of Danville, VA; Annie Carter of Washington, DC and Phil Carter of New York, NY; one uncle, Joe Coles (Mary Jane) of Danville, VA and a host of other relatives and friends
Celebration of life service for Mr. Claude Edward Carter will be held 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the chapel of J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 447 Old South Main Street, Danville, Virginia. Apostle Pamela “Nikki” Pinchback, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the New Design Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery 3864 Medical Center Road Axton Virginia.
A public viewing will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 447 Old South Main Street, Danville, Virginia from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
The family is asked to assemble at the residence of Debra Cobbs(James) 316 Dodson Road Blairs Virginia at 11:45 a.m. on the day of service.
