Obituary
On Tuesday, September 20,2022 at Select Specialty Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina, God called our beloved father, grandfather, and cousin home to be with the Lord.
Donald was born September 27, 1960 in the state of New York to the late Bernice Crump and Charlie Daniels.
He was educated in the Danville Public School System and graduated from George Washington High School in 1980. He was employed with Richmond Cedar Works for many years. He also worked in construction, with JTI, and Danville Memorial Hospital.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Crump.
Donald leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Marcus McCain and Brent Stephens (Christi); four grandchildren, Marcus McCain, Jr., Ta’Myia McCain, Meyona Stephens and Cameron Stephens; one aunt, Jessie Ferguson; one uncle, Raymond Ferguson; one sister in law, Anne Crump; two devoted cousins, Sheila Ferguson and Brenda Crump; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Donald Ray Crump will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022 at the J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment - Danville, Virginia 24541, with , Rev. Jeffrey L. Dodson, Sr., Pastor, Officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery 100 Walters Mills Road Danville Virginia 24540.
A public viewing will be held Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment- Danville VA.
The family is receiving relatives and friends at 149 Mabin St. Street Danville Virginia and asked to assemble at 1:00 p.m. on day of service.
